Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction tutor: Christene Burgess

Experiencing personal and shared well-being benefits of meditation inspired Christene to study and teach Mindfulness; attending training with Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn among other teachers and ongoingly at university. Christene has practised (Vipassana/mindfulness) meditation since 1985. Her initiation and inspiration into meditation came earlier via an employer who then assigned a room for meditation at their workplace. Trained in Psychosynthesis Counselling and Therapy and professionally accredited (with the Counselling Society), Christene is a member of the BACP and a qualified yoga teacher since 1990. She has established and provided a counselling-EAP and Life-skills service for a London university Faculty of Health and Social Care, and works with mindfulness-based-approaches/therapy in private practice and corporate EAP's (Employee Assistance Programmes).

Christene has experience in working with people of all different backgrounds, cultures and needs. Mindfulness course are offered in a group, by commissioning and distance-learning. Contact us.

Christene has served as a Trustee in the (S.N. Goenka) Vipassana organisation, and both for personal practise and Mindfulness-CPD, ongoingly attends retreats, courses and conferences.
